But what does a standard first aid box contain?
Well, the content of the first aid box has not changed since 2019 either. But let's get to the point and look at the 6/1990. (IV. 12.) KÖHÉM Decree (this is about the technical conditions for commissioning and keeping road vehicles) What should a standard box contain.

Is the first aid box bought abroad not good?
We have a good news: if you have taken your box in another country, you do not need to throw it into the trash, as Article 106 of Article 106 of the KöHÉM Regulation, which regulates the composition and properties of first aid, allows the use of equipment from the European Community (DIN standard) as follows:
"(2) The first aid equipment specified in paragraph 1 shall be replaced by first aid equipment applied to the vehicle category within the expiration period of its contents, provided that the State Participated to the European Economic Area, if it has been provided with a Hungarian language or first aid information."
By the way, this point was included in the 2010 amendment to the KöHÉM Regulation in 2010, as the requirement for first aid equipment was below European standards in several respects. Furthermore, the status of equipment from EU countries was not at all regulated.
What do you need to know about expirations?
After reading the above rules, you can rightly ask how long a sterile bandage is good, for example? Or do you have to pay attention to this at all?
Well, the pump would probably go up in the restaurant if the waiter offered an expired warranty mushroom stew, saying it's good! The contents of the first aid box have the same warranty period, which, beyond which the devices are simply no longer used for a given purpose. Thus, sterile bandages retain their sterility for 5 years. The disinfectant solution can be used for 3 years from the date of production. Non -sterile devices have no expiry date. The other content elements of the first aid box can be applied to the date specified by the manufacturer.
And if you think about where to keep the box in your boring minutes, we have another good news: the decree sets it down. That is, first aid equipment must be kept on the vehicle in a well-accessible location for the driver.
